Ideal Play Experience
Ensure you've scanned as much of your space as possible. Dr. Grordbort’s Invaders supports a maximum play area of 52 feet wide by 52 feet long by 26 feet high (16 meters wide by 16 meters long by 8 meters high). The game requires a minimum of one large wall surface of 4 feet wide by 6 feet high (1.25m x 1.8m), 2 wall surfaces of 2 feet by 2 feet each (0.5m x 0.5m), and a clear floor space of 2 feet by 2 feet (0.5m x 0.5m), but remember, more space is better! During the scanning phase at the start of the game you can tap the Home Button for more tips.
If things turn red and start going slow motion - a robot just hit you! If you get hit again while still in red time you'll lose the mission. Remember to hold up your empty hand, palm out (like a high five), to activate your Shield.
Once Dr. Grordbort has given you a new raygun you’ll need to equip it in your loadout. Pick up the raygun you want from the store by pushing your Control into the raygun, it’ll snap into place and you can give it a test fire. When you're happy with your choice (or new purchase) add it to your loadout by pushing it into one of arms above your briefing card. Heat rayguns go on the left, Grappling Hook in the middle, Force ray guns on the right. With your loadout set push the button to begin your mission. You can switch between rayguns in the loadout by holding your thumb on the Control’s touchpad which will display the Holographic Raygun Bangle of Splendour. Move your control into any of the 3 ray guns to select that one.
Buying New Rayguns
You can buy shiny new rayguns in the Store (found to the right of the Robot Planet Map after putting a Briefing Card).
Killing Armored Robots
Some of the invading robots wear armor, so if they’ve suited up over their usual yellow paint jobs be sure to try your Heat, Force, or Grapple guns on them!
Spotting Attacking Robots
Look for the reds of their eyes! An attacking robot’s eyes will glow red, and that glow will reach in a line towards the center of your vision. Follow the pulsing red trail to find the threat.
