For devices running LuminOS 98.20 or higher, a variety of video conferencing services are supported in Helio, however these different services have different limitations, and may requires changes to Helio's "User Agent" setting.
Changing The Helio User Agent
Different video conferencing apps will work better with different User Agents in Helio.
- After opening Helio, navigate to the ellipses icon ("...") in the upper right-hand corner, and select "Preferences" form the drop-down menu
- You will screen with a section called "User Agent", select the appropriate User Agent from the drop-down menu based on for the video conferencing app you're using (see the below sections for more information)
Amazon Chime
Amazon Chime works with either the Helio or Linux Desktop User Agent settings.
Google Meet
When using Google Meet, the "Linux Desktop" User Agent setting must be used. If you have logged into your Google Account through Helio, you can join Google Meet meetings directly from a Google Calendar invite
Microsoft Teams
When using Microsoft Teams, the "Linux Desktop" User Agent setting is recommended.
