Japan RoHS, also called J-MOSS, refers to Japan’s Law for Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources and the mandatory industry standard JIS C 0950 (The marking for presence of the specific chemical substances for electrical and electronic equipment).
The Law for Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources, as amended, requires companies to mark the presence of 6 hazardous substances in certain types of electrical and electronic products. JIS C 0950 sets the concentration limits for these 6 hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, as follows:
Lead (Pb) and its compounds: 0.1%
Cadmium (Cd) and its compounds: 0.01%
Hexavalent chromium (Cr6 +) and its compounds: 0.1%
Mercury (Hg) and its compounds: 0.1%
Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB): 0.1%
Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE): 0.1%
Under J-MOSS, if a product that is produced or imported into Japan on or after July 1, 2006 contains the above-mentioned substances in amounts in excess of the specified concentration limits, the product must be marked in accordance with JIS C 0950 (How to label specific chemical substances in electrical and electronic equipment) with the orange J-MOSS mark. If a product contains the specified substances in amounts below the concentration limits or in excess of the concentration limits but within the limits allowed by a permitted exemption, then the producer has the option to mark such products with the green J-MOSS mark.
The following table shows the Magic Leap products subject to J-MOSS that have been produced or imported into Japan after July 1, 2006. Magic Leap has not chosen to mark its products with the green J-MOSS mark at this time.
Applicable Products: Magic Leap 1 Lightwear/Lightpack (M1010, M1012), Control (M2012), Hub (M7010)

"O" indicates that the amount of the target substance is below the concentration limit.
“ * ” indicates that the amount of the target substance falls within an exemption to the concentration limit.
